Hook

Definition

A Hook is a semicircular bend in the end of a reinforcing bar.

Purpose

Hooks are used in reinforced concrete construction to anchor rebar within the concrete, providing better grip and load transfer. They help prevent slippage and ensure that the rebar remains in place under stress.
