Form Deck

Definition

A form deck is thin, corrugated steel decking that serves as permanent formwork, also referred to as a sacrificial form, for a reinforced concrete deck.

Purpose

The purpose of a form deck is to provide support and shape for concrete while it cures and gains strength, ultimately becoming a permanent part of the structural system.
